It is official. Announced by HostelWorld.com, Isaacs Hostel has been voted Dublin’s favourite hostel. Chosen by visitors from all over the world, Isaacs is THE best hostel in the country’s capital.

Dublin is a sprawling city of much culture and activities. Most of these cost money but there are things that you can do around Dublin for free.

January is now officially over. The recuperating from the holidays is finally done and it is time to get on with 2014. Lucky for us, Dublin is a hive of activity this February.

This February, the Aviva Stadium in Dublin is host to Scotland and Wales as their teams play Ireland in the RBS 6 Nations Rugby Cup.

Revelries and jollies for all. The Temple Bar Tradfest is in town. The very best of hand clapping, foot stomping, Irish jigging, traditional music right in the centre of Dublin. Visitors come from far and wide for the yearly festival that is spread out over the famous Temple Bar district. With the huge increase of musicians in the city, the Trad is one of the best times to be in Dublin.

Dublin is no stranger to bad weather so (as a home-grown Dubliner) knowing the best places to avoid those pesky wet days is key to living in this city. I’ll let you in on the best ones if you’re nice.
