The Rock ‘n’ Roll Dublin Half Marathon 7th August 2016
This half marathon course highlights the beauty and vibrancy of Dublin. The race starts on the corner of North Wall Quay & Castleforbes Rd., Dublin, finishing in the Phoenix Park.Local bands and entertainers will provide music every mile along the course. Rock ‘n’ Roll is the theme but there will also be plenty of local flavour to the musicians. A celebratory atmosphere at the finish line includes a free concert and great entertainment, sponsor activities, food vendors and VIP hospitality.
Dublin City Liffey Swim 6th August
The Dublin City Liffey Swim is one of the most famous open sea swimming races in the world. The first race took place in 1920 when a Dublin Corporation engineer wanted to show off how good our quality of water was. This is always worth a nosy as you wander down the quays With hundreds of men and women competing in this unique event, the city will be awash with spectators hoping to catch a glimpse of the race from the Liffey quays, boardwalks and over-arching bridges.Dublin City Liffey Swim attracts swimmers from around the globe, as well as locals ranging in age from anywhere between thirteen and seventy-nine. The All-Ireland Gaelic Football championships August – September 2016

National Heritage Week 20-28th August 2016
Natitonal Heritage week is an event that lets you learn lots of interesting facts from Ireland’s past.
