1. Is the hostel in the city centre?

Yes, the hostel is situated right in the City Centre, adjacent to the Bus station (Busaras) and minutes from Connolly and Tara Street train stations. O’Connell Street and Temple Bar are a 5 minute walk and one of the main shopping streets Henry Street is also a short walk away.

2. Is breakfast included in the price?

Light continental breakfast is included in the price and is served between 7.30 and 9.30 am daily. Alternatively, guests can avail of our self-catering kitchen which is open daily.

3. Is linen included?

Yes, all bed linen is included and beds prepared for your arrival. Guests are advised to bring their own towels. Towels are available for hire at €2 each

4. What safekeeping facilities are provided?

Small safes (large enough for cameras, documents, wallets small lap tops etc.) are provided and a small daily charge of €2 is made for their hire. We recommend that all guests avail of this facility as the hostel cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen.

5. Are left-luggage facilities provided?

Yes, there are lockers provided in a secure luggage room in Basement- a small daily charge of €2 is required for their hire. (With a €10 refundable deposit for key). We recommend that all guests avail of this facility as the hostel cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or stolen.

6. What are the check in and check out times?

Guest can check in at any time after 14.00h and they must check out before 11.00h. There is no lock out during the day so guests can come and go as they please.

7. Does the hostel have a curfew?

No, there is no curfew at any of our hostels. Reception is open 24 hours a day.

8. Are multi-bed rooms single sex only?

No, we have male, female and mixed sex rooms in our hostels.

9. Are any bedrooms ensuite?

No at Isaacs Hostel we don’t have any ensuite bedrooms. Shower and toilets are found on each floor. If you require an ensuite bedroom, please book our sister hostel, Jacobs Inn.

10. What methods of payment are accepted?

We accept cash and credit cards (Mastercard and Visa) and debit card. When making a reservation either a deposit or credit card number is required to guarantee the reservation.

11. What is your cancellation policy?

For individual reservations the cancellation policy is 24 hours. For groups, we require the first nights’ accommodation prepaid as deposit. This is non-refundable. Any group cancellations must be made in writing 14 days before the arrival date of the group. Changes or cancellations to group booking can only be accepted up to 4 weeks prior to arrival without charge. Any changes made after this, may unfortunately incur an extra charge

12. Do I have to be a member?

There is no membership fee involved. We are independent hostels and members of the Independent Holiday Hostels of Ireland Association. To stay at our hostels all you need is some form of photo identification and enough money to pay for your bed for the night.

13. Can Groups avail of Special Promotional Rates?

Please note that € 10.00 beds are special promotional rates and are only available on certain nights in our hostels and are also just limited to beds in different types of rooms and at limited supply per day. The special rate is also only applicable for on line sales. These reduced rate beds do not extend to group bookings as the special offer beds are only available in different beds in different rooms types – so for a group looking to book – they would not be together – they would be separated throughout the hostel. If you want to take a chance on line and try for cheaper prices for some beds you may have to split your booking into different rooms. We advise groups to contact us directly in order to get the best option available to them.

14. Do you have age restriction?

Groups with under 16s must be accompanied by adults. Families travelling with children under age of 16 must book private accommodation.

15. Is WIFI / internet available in Isaacs Hostel?

Yes Wifi is available in reception and basement common rooms free of charge. It is not available in the Bedrooms.

16. Is a car park available in Isaacs hostel?

We do not have our own car park but our guests have special rates at Q park -a 6 minute walk from the hostel , or there is some limited on Street Pay and Display Car Parking near by

17 .Is the water drinkable?

The water from Kitchen tap is drinkable and filtered water is freely available

18. Do you have Plug adapters available?

Yes just ask at reception and leave your ID as deposit.

19. What laundry facilities are available?

There are washing machines and tumble dryers available (a charge for use) and irons in the laundry room. Detergents are available at reception.
