GET OVER YOUR ‘POST XMAS BLUES’ IN DUBLIN
Though Christmas may be over there is still plenty to look forward to in Dublin’s fair city. Here’s my list of things to do to get over your “ Post Xmas Blues“ in Dublin keep your spirits up, even after all the left-over Turkey is gone and there are no more presents to open.
2013 was the year of The Gathering in Ireland and if you’re in town then join the last big event The Gathering at Leopardstown. Bring your wallets and place a bet or two while enjoying a pint of the black stuff at the Leopardstown Races on the last day of their Christmas Festival.

New Years always promises to lift your spirits again after Christmas is over, though most years you set the day up so high it’s hard to live up to. Fear not though, with the amazing events spread across Dublin it’d be hard not to have a great time!
Help light up Dublin city by joining the New Year’s Eve People’s Procession of Light, which is a free fun-filled event for all ages. Help illuminate the streets by bringing your own source of light to the procession or register for a free lantern-making workshop here:http://www.3nyedublin.ie/forms/procession-of-light
If you’d rather save your energy for the night time festivities, come along and ring in the New Year at the Countdown Concert at College Green @ 8pm ‘til 12:30am.
Join a bunch of Irish performers and some International Acts sing “Auld Ang Syne” as the clock strikes 12am. Click below to book tickets:

The best way to get rid of a hangover is to get up and out and enjoy some good grub. What better way to get rid of that New Years sized hangover than The Big Brunch in Meeting House Square. It starts at 11am and goes until late. It has puppet and magic show, markets and stalls, an afternoon céilí and vintage tea dancers!
If you still have the Post-Xmas Blues (and now to top it all off a Post-New Years Eve Hangover) my advice to you is drink LOTS of water, sweat the alcohol out in Isaacs Hostels FREE Sauna and then curl up with a good movie in Jacobs Inn for Movie Night with FREE popcorn.
Seasons Greetings Hostellers!
